Celebrate Recovery is a forward-moving ministry. The vision for Celebrate Recovery is for the church to provide a safe place for families to find healing from their hurts, hang-ups, and habits. To help churches accomplish this vision, Celebration Place helps local Celebrate Recovery groups provide a safe place for children to heal and grow through a personal relationship with Jesus. “Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these’” (Matthew 19:14 NIV).

​We also offer Celebration Place for children of the families that attend. By offering Celebration Place in conjunction with Celebrate Recovery ministries we send the message to families in recovery, “You are important to us.” We care so much that we have a program written just for children to teach them the recovery principles, equipping them to make better choices in life. Children also learn the importance of building godly character based on Galatians 5:22-23. Celebration Place does all this in a fun and safe environment.

What does a typical night in Celebration Place look like?
​Celebration Place is structured much like Celebrate Recovery for adults. There is a time for fellowship, worship, teaching, sharing, and prayer. The difference is our teaching has two parts: instructional, and hands-on in the centers. Our Small Group time is centered on the Journal Page. Kids learn to identify their feelings and express why they feel a particular way. The next part of the journal page helps children apply the lesson to their own lives based on questions relating to the lesson. Celebration Place leaders do the important work of validating their emotions without condemning them. The centers provide hands-on learning opportunities to drive home the recovery principle outlined in each lesson. Each week in the Closing, the main point of the lesson is presented one more time followed by a time of prayer.
